Kent LeBarts is the owner and instructor of Elko Tactical

  • More than 40 years experience as a competition shooter in USPSA and IPSC using high power rifles to light rifles, 1000 yard target shooting and tactical mid-range, short-range and CQB 
  • 30-year member of the US Practical Pistol Association
  • Past experience as a civilian instructor for the US military at Fort Hunter Legit in California, training US Army Rangers in pistol craft
  • Former member of the Drug Task Force with the Delnorte County Sheriff's Office in northern California
  • NRA Member and Certified NRA Pistol and Rifle Instructor
  • Certified in both defense inside and outside of the home
  • Certified Range Safety Officer
  • The only civilian firearms instructor for the Nevada Highway Patrol
  • More than 20 years experience teaching CCW classes
  • Elko County's ONLY instructor offering Tactical One Advanced Pistol Classes, and Tactical Rifle and Shotgun classes
